Property Tax Database – Truth in Taxation

NOTICE OF ESTIMATED TAXES
Visit Texas.gov/PropertyTaxes to find a link to your local property tax database on which you can easily access information regarding your property taxes, including information regarding the amount of taxes that each entity that taxes your property will impose if the entity adopts its proposed tax rate. Your local property tax database will be updated regularly during August and September as local elected officials propose and adopt the property tax rates that will determine how much you pay in property taxes.


Follow the instructions below to register to receive notifications regarding updates to the property tax database:


To register for email notifications regarding updates to the property tax database, property owners can visit the appraisal district’s homepage at www.henderson-cad.org. Scroll down to the middle of the web page and click on the “PROPERTY TAX DATABASE – TRUTH IN TAXATION” tab. Then, click on “Find your county’s website” on the bottom left-hand side, enter the county name, and click “Search.” Your county name should appear below. Clicking on the link will redirect you to the county’s property tax database landing page. Here, you will enter your property details and click on the “Search” tab. Select your property, click on the “View” tab to access your property tax information. Finally, click on the “Subscribe to Notifications” button located in the top right- hand corner of the page, enter your information, agree to receive email notifications, and confirm.
